Deep in the heart of Speyside, Scotland, lies the historic Glenfiddich distillery, founded by William Grant in 1886. This extraordinary liquid, distilled in 1937 and laid to rest in Oak Cask No. 843, survived the tumultuous years of World War II and matured for an astounding 64 years before being bottled in 2001. As one of the oldest and rarest single malt Scotch whiskies ever released, only 61 bottles were drawn from this single cask. The slow interaction with the oak over more than six decades, combined with the cool, damp Speyside climate, allowed the spirit to develop an unparalleled complexity, characterized by deep notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and subtle peat smoke, representing a liquid monument to Scottish distilling heritage.

Glenfiddich Distillery blev grundlagt i 1886 af William Grant og opført ved håndkraft med hjælp fra hans familie.
