✨ Technical Specifications
Nestled in the heart of Speyside, Scotland, the Glenfiddich Distillery was founded in 1886 by William Grant, whose vision created one of the world's most celebrated single malts. The name Glenfiddich translates from Gaelic as 'Valley of the Deer', symbolized by the iconic stag on every bottle. The 14-Year-Old Rich Oak is a testament to the distillery's spirit of innovation. After maturing for 14 years in traditional oak casks, this expression is uniquely finished in pristine, unused Spanish and American virgin oak casks. This pioneering technique, carefully managed by the Malt Master, coaxes out vibrant woody spices, rich vanilla, and deep caramelized fruit notes from the fresh wood, creating a beautifully complex and robust Speyside whisky.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1886 by William Grant and constructed by hand with the help of his family, Glenfiddich Distillery is situated in the heart of Dufftown in Scotland's renowned Speyside region. Still independently owned by William Grant & Sons, the distillery made history in 1963 by pioneering the international single malt Scotch whisky category beyond traditional blended scotch. Glenfiddich crafts its spirits using the pristine waters of the nearby Robbie Dhu springs, distilling through distinctive copper pot stills and maintaining its own on-site cooperage to oversee maturation in premium American and European oak casks. Renowned worldwide for its iconic triangular bottle, the distillery produces an acclaimed spectrum of single malts characterized by signature orchard-fruit aromas, crisp green pear, delicate floral notes, and remarkable depth in its rare vintage releases.
