Nestled in the valley of the River Fiddich, meaning 'Valley of the Deer' in Scottish Gaelic, Glenfiddich was founded in 1886 by William Grant and his nine children, who hand-built the distillery stone by stone. This exceptionally rare single malt was bottled in 2020 exclusively for the annual Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, celebrating the rich distilling heritage of Scotland's most famous whisky region. Drawn from a single refill Sherry butt (Cask No. 25427), this expression beautifully balances the distillery's signature bright orchard-fruit and pear character with the subtle, oxidative depth of seasoned European oak. The use of a refill cask ensures the wood complements rather than dominates, allowing complex notes of soft baking spices, toasted nuts, and delicate honeyed malt to shine through.

Glenfiddich Distillery blev grundlagt i 1886 af William Grant og opført ved håndkraft med hjælp fra hans familie.
