Crafted to honor the bravery of wounded servicemen participating in the South Pole Allied Challenge, this rare expression was married from exceptional casks distilled in the early 1980s. Utilizing the pristine waters of the Robbie Dhu spring and aged for nearly three decades in a combination of fine American oak and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, it represents the pinnacle of Speyside craftsmanship. Founded in 1886 by William Grant alongside his nine children, Glenfiddich stands as one of Scotland's most historically significant and enduringly independent, family-owned distilleries. Situated in Dufftown within the heart of Speyside, the distillery draws its pure, mineral-soft process water exclusively from the Robbie Dhu springs, which flow through nearby peatlands and quartz terrain. Distillation is conducted in unusually small, distinctively shaped copper pot stills, meticulously replicated down to the exact curvature of the original late-nineteenth-century vessels to preserve high ester formation. Glenfiddich was instrumental in pioneering the modern global market for single malt Scotch in the 1960s.
