An extraordinary relic of Speyside history, this ultra-rare 56-year-old single malt represents the absolute pinnacle of Scotch whisky maturation. Distilled at the legendary Glenlivet distillery—the historic estate established by George Smith in 1824—this spirit has slumbered for over half a century in oak. Over these decades, the distillery's signature bright, orchard-fruit character, coaxed from lantern-shaped copper pot stills and mineral-rich water from Josie's Well, has transformed into an incredibly complex, rich, and deeply layered masterpiece. The long, slow interaction with the wood has imparted profound notes of antique oak, dark chocolate, dried figs, warming spices, and a delicate whisper of beeswax, showcasing the sublime art of patience and exceptional wood management.

The Glenlivet blev grundlagt i 1824 af George Smith i den afsidesliggende Livet Valley og var det første lovlige destilleri i sognet efter vedtagelsen af The Excise Act i 1823. Destilleriet ligger højt i Speyside og henter sit rene, mineralrige vand fra Josie's Well, hvilket danner grundlag for en langsom og kontrolleret gæringsproces. The Glenlivet er berømt for sine karakteristiske lanterneformede kobberkedler med lange, slanke halse, der sikrer en intens kobberkontakt og et højt tilbageløb.
