Distilled at the legendary Glenlivet distillery—the historic estate established by George Smith in 1824—this spirit has slumbered for over half a century in oak. Over these decades, the distillery's signature bright, orchard-fruit character, coaxed from lantern-shaped copper pot stills and mineral-rich water from Josie's Well, has transformed into an incredibly complex, rich, and deeply layered masterpiece. The long, slow interaction with the wood has imparted profound notes of antique oak, dark chocolate, dried figs, warming spices, and a delicate whisper of beeswax, showcasing the sublime art of patience and exceptional wood management.

The Glenlivet blev grundlagt i 1824 af George Smith i den afsidesliggende Livet Valley i skotske Speyside, og destilleriet har en historisk særstatus som det allerførste i sognet, der opnåede officiel licens efter Excise Act i 1823. I dag hører destilleriet under Chivas Brothers og Pernod Ricard.
