The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve represents an innovative bridge between the historic, mist-shrouded hills of Speyside and the vibrant, sun-drenched islands of the Caribbean. To craft this distinctive expression, a portion of the single malt whisky—distilled in Glenlivet's signature lantern-shaped copper pot stills and drawing from the mineral-rich waters of Josie's Well—is selectively finished in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. This finishing process imparts a luscious tropical twist of ripe bananas, sweet red apple, and warm caramel to the distillery's classic smooth, summery, and floral Speyside character. It pays homage to the spirit of adventure and experimentation that has defined the distillery since George Smith secured the first legal license in the glen in 1824.

Established in 1824 by George Smith in the remote Glenlivet valley of Speyside, Scotland, The Glenlivet is legendary as the first licensed distillery in the parish, setting the standard for Speyside single malts. Now owned by Pernod Ricard, the distillery draws its mineral-rich water from Josie's Well and utilizes lantern-shaped copper pot stills to produce a characteristically bright, elegant, and fruity spirit. The Glenlivet is globally renowned for its exceptional wood management, utilizing traditional oak, American white oak, and French Limousin oak casks to age signature expressions such as the 12 Year Old, the 15 Year Old French Oak Reserve, and the rare Winchester Collection.
