Bottled in 2011, this rare single malt expression showcases the profound depth that Speyside whiskies can achieve when subjected to decades of patient maturation. Utilizing the mineral-rich waters of Josie's Well and distilled in the iconic lantern-shaped copper pot stills designed by founder George Smith in the early 19th century, the spirit possesses a signature bright, elegant, and floral character. Over its long sleep in hand-selected oak casks, this distillate has transformed, absorbing rich wood spices, dried fruit notes, and a complex, velvety texture. The Glenlivet blev grundlagt i 1824 af George Smith i den afsidesliggende Livet Valley og var det første lovlige destilleri i sognet efter vedtagelsen af The Excise Act i 1823.
