'Nàdurra,' meaning natural in Gaelic, represents Scotch whisky in its purest form. Unlike modern chill-filtered expressions, this single malt is drawn straight from the cask and bottled at cask strength without chill-filtration, preserving the rich, oily texture and complex flavor compounds of the spirit. Batch FF0717 is matured exclusively in first-fill American white oak casks, which have never before been used to age Scotch whisky. These casks impart luscious notes of sweet vanilla, creamy caramel, and ripe pear to the bright, fruity Speyside distillate. Founded in 1824 by George Smith in the remote Livet Valley of Speyside, Scotland, The Glenlivet holds historic distinction as the first legally licensed distillery in the parish following the 1823 Excise Act. Today part of Chivas Brothers under Pernod Ricard, the distillery draws mineral-rich water from Josie's Well and employs tall, lantern-shaped copper pot stills to achieve a remarkably light and refined distillation.
