The Glenlivet Nàdurra First Fill Selection is a tribute to the traditional, nineteenth-century methods of whisky making. 'Nàdurra,' meaning natural in Gaelic, represents Scotch whisky in its purest form. Unlike modern chill-filtered expressions, this single malt is drawn straight from the cask and bottled at cask strength without chill-filtration, preserving the rich, oily texture and complex flavor compounds of the spirit. Batch FF0717 is matured exclusively in first-fill American white oak casks, which have never before been used to age Scotch whisky. These casks impart luscious notes of sweet vanilla, creamy caramel, and ripe pear to the bright, fruity Speyside distillate. The history of Glenlivet is steeped in the lore of smuggling and defiance; George Smith founded the distillery in the remote Livet Valley, where the cold, pure waters of Josie's Well still feed the copper pot stills today, ensuring a legacy of elegance and unparalleled quality.
