Distilled in the iconic lantern-shaped copper pot stills that define the distillery's elegant, fruity style, this single malt was matured for 16 years in a single hand-selected American oak cask (Cask No. 70154) before being bottled in 2016. Because it is an unblended single cask bottling, it offers a pure snapshot of a specific moment in the distillery's maturation history, delivering rich notes of ripe orchard fruits, soft vanilla, sweet honey, and gentle oak spices.

Founded in 1824 by George Smith in the remote Livet Valley, The Glenlivet was the first legal distillery established under the 1823 Excise Act in the parish of Glenlivet. Located high in Speyside, the distillery draws pure, mineral-rich water from Josie's Well, which contributes to a slow, controlled fermentation process. The distillery is famous for its distinctive lantern-shaped copper pot stills featuring long, narrow necks that promote extensive copper contact and high reflux.
