Originating from the wild and isolated glen of the River Livet, where founder George Smith once risked his life to distill illegally before obtaining the parish's first legal license in 1824, this expression is crafted from whiskies aged for a minimum of a quarter-century. The spirit undergoes its final maturation in individually selected first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. Established in 1824 by George Smith in the remote Glenlivet valley of Speyside, Scotland, The Glenlivet is legendary as the first licensed distillery in the parish, setting the standard for Speyside single malts.
