The Glenlivet XXV (25 Year Old) represents the pinnacle of the distillery's core range, showcasing the sublime marriage of time, wood, and traditional Speyside craftsmanship. Originating from the wild and isolated glen of the River Livet, where founder George Smith once risked his life to distill illegally before obtaining the parish's first legal license in 1824, this expression is crafted from whiskies aged for a minimum of a quarter-century. The spirit undergoes its final maturation in individually selected first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. This finishing process wraps the signature bright, floral, and orchard-fruit character of The Glenlivet in a luxurious blanket of rich chocolate, toasted nuts, and warm baking spices, creating a deeply complex and historic single malt.

The Glenlivet blev grundlagt i 1824 af George Smith i den afsidesliggende Livet Valley i skotske Speyside, og destilleriet har en historisk særstatus som det allerførste i sognet, der opnåede officiel licens efter Excise Act i 1823. I dag hører destilleriet under Chivas Brothers og Pernod Ricard.
