This historic bottling of The Glenlivet 12 Year Old 'Unblended All Malt' is a legendary artifact from the golden era of Speyside whisky. Imported to Italy by the renowned Baretto import house during the late 20th century, this release predates the modern standardization of the term 'Single Malt.' Italy was one of the earliest and most enthusiastic export markets for single malt Scotch, and importers like Baretto helped establish its global reputation. Distilled in Glenlivet's iconic lantern-shaped copper pot stills and drawn from mineral-rich water from Josie's Well, this expression showcases the traditional Speyside style of the era: wonderfully aromatic, complex, and defined by notes of orchard fruits, soft honey, and gentle oak spice.

The Glenlivet blev grundlagt i 1824 af George Smith i den afsidesliggende Livet Valley og var det første lovlige destilleri i sognet efter vedtagelsen af The Excise Act i 1823. Destilleriet ligger højt i Speyside og henter sit rene, mineralrige vand fra Josie's Well, hvilket danner grundlag for en langsom og kontrolleret gæringsproces.
