Imported to Italy by the visionary distributor Armando Giovinetti during the late 20th century, this 'Unblended All Malt'—an older terminology for single malt—helped spark a spirits revolution. At a time when the global market was dominated by blended whiskies, Giovinetti recognized the exceptional quality of The Glenlivet's distillate. Crafted in the remote Glenlivet valley of Speyside using mineral-rich water from Josie's Well and distilled in signature lantern-shaped copper pot stills, this expression was aged for 12 years in traditional oak casks. It delivers the classic, elegant Speyside profile of soft orchard fruits, honey, and gentle floral notes that captivated Italian connoisseurs and established the category internationally.

Founded in 1824 by George Smith in the remote Livet Valley of Speyside, Scotland, The Glenlivet holds historic distinction as the first legally licensed distillery in the parish following the 1823 Excise Act. Today part of Chivas Brothers under Pernod Ricard, the distillery draws mineral-rich water from Josie's Well and employs tall, lantern-shaped copper pot stills to achieve a remarkably light and refined distillation.
