Before the term 'Single Malt' became the global standard, distilleries used 'Unblended All Malt' to distinguish their pure malt spirits from the ubiquitous blended Scotch whiskies of the era. This historic bottling represents the pioneering era of Speyside's global export expansion. Crafted using the distillery's signature lantern-shaped copper pot stills and mineral-rich water from Josie's Well, this expression captures the classic, elegant Speyside character of yesteryear. It is celebrated for its bright, orchard-fruit profile, delicate floral notes, and a gentle honeyed sweetness derived from traditional oak cask aging.

The Glenlivet blev grundlagt i 1824 af George Smith i den afsidesliggende Livet Valley i skotske Speyside, og destilleriet har en historisk særstatus som det allerførste i sognet, der opnåede officiel licens efter Excise Act i 1823.
