Hailing from the northern reaches of the Scottish Highlands, Glenmorangie is celebrated for its pioneering spirit and its exceptionally tall copper pot stills—the height of an adult giraffe—which produce an elegant, delicate spirit. The Highland Single Malt Port Wood Finish is a masterclass in cask maturation, a technique Glenmorangie helped pioneer in the late 20th century. After spending its formative years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, this single malt is transferred to pipes that once held rich Portuguese Port wine. This double-aging process marries the distillery's signature citrus and floral notes with deep, luscious layers of dark berries, chocolate, and warm spices, reflecting a beautiful dialogue between Scottish distillation heritage and Iberian winemaking tradition.
