Glenmorangie 'The Original' is the flagship single malt expression from the historic distillery in Tain, established in 1843 by William Matheson. Renowned for possessing the tallest copper pot stills in Scotland—reaching the height of an adult male giraffe—only the lightest, purest vapors rise to the top, resulting in an exceptionally elegant, smooth, and floral spirit. This Highland single malt is matured for ten years in first- and second-fill American white oak ex-bourbon casks, many of which are custom-crafted from slow-grown, air-dried wood from the Ozark Mountains. This meticulous maturation process imparts signature notes of citrus, ripe peaches, and creamy vanilla, reflecting the legendary craftsmanship of the 'Men of Tain' who have guarded this liquid heritage for generations.
