✨ Technical Specifications

Hailing from the legendary Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain, within the Northern Highlands of Scotland, this incredibly rare 23-Year-Old Single Malt was bottled in 2001 to commemorate the 'Year of the Snake'. Glenmorangie is celebrated for possessing the tallest copper pot stills in Scotland—equal in height to an adult giraffe—which ensure only the lightest, purest vapors ascend to condense into spirit. This elegant distillate was matured for over two decades in select oak casks, drawing character from the distillery's hard, mineral-rich water source, the Tarlogie Springs. The result is a majestic Highland malt of immense complexity, marrying Glenmorangie's signature citrus and floral elegance with deep, antique oak, rich dried fruits, and warming spices developed over its long slumber.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1843 by William Matheson on the tranquil shores of the Dornoch Firth in Ross-shire, Glenmorangie stands as a benchmark of Highland single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery is distinguished by its use of Scotland's tallest copper pot stills—rising over five meters—which foster prolonged copper contact and reflux, yielding an exceptionally delicate, floral, and citrus-forward spirit. Mineral-rich, hard water sourced from the historic Tarlogie Springs further shapes its distinct profile. Under the innovative stewardship of Dr. Bill Lumsden and owner Moët Hennessy, Glenmorangie pioneered secondary wood finishing in Sauternes, Port, and Sherry casks. Beyond core benchmarks like The Original and The Nectar, the house crafts revered, complex expressions such as Signet, Pride, and the vintage Bond House No. 1 Collection, balancing Highland elegance with cutting-edge wood management.
