This flagship vodka is crafted using single-origin soft winter wheat sourced from the breadbasket of France, the Picardy region. Unlike highly rectified spirits that strip away all character, this expression undergoes a precise continuous column distillation process designed to retain the natural, delicate essence of the grain. The distillate is then blended with pristine spring water naturally filtered through limestone. The result is a spirit of exceptional purity and character, presenting a nose of delicate floral notes and sweet citrus, leading to a round, creamy palate with hints of almond and a clean, satisfying finish. It stands as a benchmark for the super-premium vodka category, celebrating the inherent quality of its agricultural ingredients.
🍾 Om vinhuset / producenten
Grey Goose blev udtænkt i 1997 af den amerikanske iværksætter Sidney Frank og vakt til live af kældermester François Thibault. Mærket revolutionerede spiritusverdenen ved at gå forrest inden for luksusvodka med dybe rødder i klassisk fransk kældertradition. Vodkaen destilleres udelukkende på blød vinterhvede dyrket i Picardies næringsrige kalk- og lerjorde af dedikerede landbrugskooperativer med fokus på bæredygtighed. Destillationen finder sted i Nordfrankrig, hvorefter det højkoncentrerede destillat transporteres sydpå til Gensac-la-Pallue i Charente-regionen. Her forener Thibault destillatet med rent, mineralrigt kildevand fra en artesisk brønd, som er naturligt filtreret gennem regionens berømte Grande Champagne-kalkstenslag. Huset ejes i dag af Bacardi og værner fortsat om sin signaturvodka – berømt for sin cremede mundfølelse, diskrete sødme af brioche og krystalklare finale – sideløbende med en serie af naturligt macererede citrus- og frugtudgaver samt eksklusive fadlagrede aftapninger.
