An extraordinary expression of the Mâconnais, the 'Premiers Jus des Premiers Crus' represents the pinnacle of Jean-Marie Guffens' iconoclastic winemaking. Following the historic 2020 elevation of Pouilly-Fuissé's finest plots to Premier Cru status, Guffens crafted this cuvée by selecting only the very first, purest press juices—the 'premier jus'—from his newly classified Premier Cru vineyards in Vergisson. Known for defying traditional Burgundian hierarchies, Guffens utilizes natural yeast fermentation and extended lees contact to craft a white wine of monumental power and chiseled minerality. The limestone soils of Vergisson impart a fierce, electric acidity that balances the wine's natural opulence, resulting in a legendary bottling that rivals the grandest whites of the Côte de Beaune.

Established in 1979 by Belgian native Jean-Marie Guffens and his wife Lydie Heynen, Domaine Guffens-Heynen is located in the picturesque village of Vergisson in Burgundy's Mâconnais region. Widely regarded as a revolutionary visionary, Guffens transformed the reputation of southern Burgundy through uncompromising vineyard husbandry, rigorous manual selections involving multiple passes ('tries') during harvest, and precise, non-interventionist cellar practices. The domaine is world-renowned for crafting extraordinarily concentrated, mineral-rich, and age-worthy white Burgundies from iconic lieu-dits such as En Chavigne and La Roche in Pouilly-Fuissé and Mâcon-Pierreclos, regularly rivaling the finest Grand Crus of the Côte de Beaune.
