Hendricks, Gin

by Hendrick's
Gin Vintage 📍 Scotland

⏳ Drinking Window

As a distilled spirit with a high alcohol by volume, it does not age or improve in the bottle. It has an indefinite shelf life when stored in a cool, dark place, though it is best consumed within 1 to 2 years after opening to maintain the optimal intensity of its volatile botanical aromas.

🍽️ Food & Wine Pairings

Smoked salmon canapés, fresh oysters, or light cucumber and goat cheese sandwiches.

✨ Technical Specifications

Hendrick's is a prominent brand of gin produced by William Grant & Sons at the Girvan distillery in Ayrshire, Scotland. Launched in 1999, this distilled spirit is unique for its production method, which utilizes two distinct stills: a 19th-century Bennett copper pot still and a Carter-Head still. The resulting distillates are blended and infused with its signature flavorings of Bulgarian Rosa damascena (rose) and selected cucumbers, alongside eleven traditional botanicals including juniper, coriander, angelica root, lemon peel, orange peel, chamomile, cubeb berries, caraway seeds, elderflower, and yarrow root.

🍾 About the Producer

Launched in 1999 by family-owned distiller William Grant & Sons, Hendrick's is crafted at the dedicated Gin Palace in Girvan, Ayrshire, Scotland. Master Distiller Lesley Gracie revolutionized modern gin production by combining distillates from two vastly different historic copper vessels—a rich 1860 Bennett pot still and an elegant 1948 Carter-Head vapour infusion still. This dual-distillation approach is elevated by the brand's iconic signature infusion of crisp cucumber and Bulgarian Rosa Damascena rose petals. Beyond the flagship spirit, Hendrick's continues to pioneer the category through Gracie's acclaimed Cabinet of Curiosities releases, featuring imaginative limited editions such as Lunar, Neptunia, and Grand Cabaret.
