✨ wine.spec_sheet

Hendrick's Orbium is a distilled gin produced in Girvan, Scotland, by William Grant & Sons. Crafted by Master Distiller Lesley Gracie, this spirit is an evolution of the original Hendrick's Gin recipe. It is infused with additional botanicals, notably blue lotus blossom, cinchona bark (quinine), and wormwood, which complement the signature cucumber and rose distillates. The production involves a combination of two different stills—the Bennett pot still and the Carter-Head copper column still—to extract a balance of heavy and light botanical characters. The resulting spirit is dry, herbaceous, and distinctly bitter.

Launched in 1999 by William Grant & Sons in Girvan, Scotland, Hendrick's Gin revolutionized the modern gin category under the visionary guidance of Master Distiller Lesley Gracie. Distilled at the Girvan Distillery, Hendrick's is uniquely crafted using two distinct, historical stills: a Bennett copper pot still dating back to 1860 and a 1948 Carter-Head still, which together create a harmonious blend of heavy and light spirits. This intricate distillation process is defined by its signature infusion of Bulgarian Rosa Damascena and specially selected cucumbers, alongside eleven traditional botanicals. The resulting spirit is a highly acclaimed, wonderfully unusual gin renowned for its remarkably fresh, floral, and cucumber-forward profile, iconically housed in a dark, apothecary-style bottle.
