Hennessy Classique represents the timeless spirit of the world's most famous Cognac house, drawing on a legacy that began in 1765 when Irish officer Richard Hennessy settled on the banks of the Charente River. Crafted primarily from Ugni Blanc grapes harvested from the chalky soils of the Cognac appellation, this expression is shaped by the traditional double-distillation process in copper Charentais alembic stills. The resulting eaux-de-vie are meticulously selected and aged in French oak casks from the Limousin forest. Under the watchful eye of the Fillioux family, who have served as master blenders for eight generations, these components are blended to achieve a harmonious, robust profile. It offers a sensory journey through notes of toasted oak, warm spices, and subtle fruitiness, embodying the classic, centuries-old blending heritage of the estate.

Maison Hennessy blev grundlagt i 1765 af den irske officer Richard Hennessy og er i dag verdens førende cognachus med beliggenhed ved bredden af Charente-floden i Cognac. Husets uforlignelige kvalitet bygger på århundreders savoir-faire og et historisk, traditionsrigt samarbejde gennem flere generationer med Fillioux-familiens Master Blenders. Hennessy udvælger nøje Ugni Blanc-druer fra Cognacs fineste crus – herunder Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies og Fins Bois – som dobbeltdestilleres i traditionelle kobberkedler og efterfølgende modnes tålmodigt på fintporede franske egetræsfade.
