The Hennessy Collectors Edition No 1 VS represents a vibrant celebration of the house's signature Very Special blend, housed in a unique, artistically designed bottle that bridges centuries of tradition with modern culture. The VS expression itself traces its roots back to 1865, when Maurice Hennessy created the star-based classification system for Cognac. Crafted primarily from Ugni Blanc grapes harvested across the chalky soils of the Cognac appellation, the eaux-de-vie undergo traditional double-distillation in copper Charentais alembic stills. They are then aged in French Limousin oak casks, where they develop a robust, lively character. This collector's edition delivers the classic Hennessy VS profile: an aromatic bouquet of toasted oak, fresh citrus, and grilled almonds, leading to a warm, dynamic palate with hints of brown sugar and baking spices.

Maison Hennessy blev grundlagt i 1765 af den irske officer Richard Hennessy og er i dag verdens førende cognachus med beliggenhed ved bredden af Charente-floden i Cognac.
