✨ wine.spec_sheet

Hennessy Fine de Cognac, often simply known as Hennessy Fine, was introduced in 2002 as a modern and innovative expression from the legendary house of Hennessy. Designed to be lighter, more vibrant, and highly versatile, it is crafted from a selection of young, expressive eaux-de-vie primarily sourced from the Fins Bois and Borderies crus, along with components from Grande and Petite Champagne. Unlike the heavier, deeply oaked traditional VSOP or XO expressions, Fine de Cognac is aged in seasoned French oak casks that have already lost some of their aggressive tannins, preserving the delicate floral and fresh fruit notes of the Ugni Blanc grape. This results in a harmonious blend featuring notes of citrus peel, honey, nougat, and light brioche, representing a bridge between traditional cognac craftsmanship and contemporary mixology culture.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1765 by Irish officer Richard Hennessy in the historic town of Cognac, France, Hennessy has grown to become the world's most celebrated Cognac house. Headquartered on the banks of the Charente River along Rue de la Richonne, the house is renowned for its centuries-old blending heritage, famously guided by eight generations of master blenders from the Fillioux family. Utilizing traditional double-distillation in copper Charentais alembic stills, Hennessy ages its precious eaux-de-vie in French oak casks sourced from the Limousin forest to develop unparalleled complexity and depth. The estate's legendary portfolio is defined by iconic expressions such as the VSOP Privilège, the pioneering XO Cognac—a category first created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870—and the exquisite, ultra-premium Hennessy Paradis.
