The Hennessy Privilege Collection 6 represents a brilliant intersection of centuries-old spirits heritage and contemporary graphic design. For this limited-edition VSOP release, legendary British art director Peter Saville applied his signature style of data visualization to the bottle's aesthetic, translating the scientific chromatography of Hennessy's liquid into a striking, color-coded design. Inside the bottle is the classic Hennessy VSOP Privilège, a masterfully balanced blend of approximately 60 different eaux-de-vie sourced primarily from the Ugni Blanc grape grown across the Cognac region's premier crus. Double-distilled in traditional copper Charentais stills and aged in seasoned French Limousin oak casks, this expression delivers a harmonious profile of toasted oak, fresh vanilla, clove, and candied fruit, celebrating a blending tradition first commissioned by the future King George IV of the United Kingdom in 1817.
🍾 wine.about_producer
Founded in 1765 by Irish officer Richard Hennessy in the historic town of Cognac, France, Hennessy has grown to become the world's most celebrated Cognac house. Headquartered on the banks of the Charente River along Rue de la Richonne, the house is renowned for its centuries-old blending heritage, famously guided by eight generations of master blenders from the Fillioux family. Utilizing traditional double-distillation in copper Charentais alembic stills, Hennessy ages its precious eaux-de-vie in French oak casks sourced from the Limousin forest to develop unparalleled complexity and depth. The estate's legendary portfolio is defined by iconic expressions such as the VSOP Privilège, the pioneering XO Cognac—a category first created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870—and the exquisite, ultra-premium Hennessy Paradis.
