While the Terrassenmosel is globally revered for its razor-sharp Rieslings, Heymann-Löwenstein applies its uncompromising, terroir-focused philosophy to the art of sparkling wine with this Sekt Blanc de Noirs. Sourced from steep, slate-terraced vineyards where Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) vines must dig deep into the fractured rock, this cuvée is crafted using the traditional method of bottle fermentation. The estate's commitment to spontaneous fermentation and extended lees contact translates beautifully into the sparkling realm, yielding a Sekt of remarkable tension, vinous depth, and mineral complexity. It pays homage to the grand history of premium German Sekt, which in the late 19th century stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest Champagnes on the world stage. The resulting sparkling wine marries the delicate red-fruit structure of Pinot Noir with the salty, smoky slate signature of the Mosel.

Weingut Heymann-Löwenstein blev grundlagt i 1980 af Reinhard Löwenstein og Cornelia Heymann-Löwenstein og ligger i Winningen i Tysklands dramatiske, stejle Terrassenmosel. Vinhuset er anerkendt som en banebrydende pioner inden for terroirpræget, tør Mosel-Riesling og arbejder ud fra en filosofi om minimal indgriben i kælderen, spontangæring med vildgær samt omhyggelig økologisk dyrkning på de ekstreme skiferterrasser.
