Hailing from the wind-swept Orkney Islands, Highland Park is one of Scotland's most remote and historic distilleries, famously founded in 1798 by the smuggler-turned-preacher Magnus Eunson. This legendary 17-year-old expression, presented in the iconic green dumpy bottle from the late 20th century, represents a revered era of traditional Orcadian distilling. The whisky's character is profoundly shaped by the island's treeless, heather-rich Hobbister Moor peat, which imparts a gentle, aromatic, and floral smoke rather than the intense medicinal peat found in Islay malts.
