Hailing from the wind-swept Orkney Islands, Highland Park is one of Scotland's most remote and historic distilleries, founded in 1798 by the legendary smuggler and vestryman Magnus Eunson. This extraordinary 28-year-old single malt, drawn from a single cask (Number 11167) and bottled in 2001, represents the pinnacle of island distillation. Orkney's unique terroir is defined by its treeless, maritime landscape, which produces a highly distinctive peat rich in heather. When burned to dry the malted barley, this peat imparts a delicate, floral smokiness rather than the heavy, medicinal peat found in Islay whiskies. Combined with nearly three decades of slow maturation in oak, this expression delivers a complex tapestry of heather honey, dried dark fruits, warm baking spices, and a subtle whisper of maritime brine.

Highland Park klamrer sig til det forblæste Orkney ud for Skotlands nordlige kyst.
