Highland Park, established in 1798 by the legendary smuggler and Viking descendant Magnus Eunson, stands as one of Scotland's most northerly distilleries on the windswept Orkney Islands. This rare single cask bottling, Cask No 5742, was distilled and aged for 10 years before being bottled in 2009 exclusively for Whisky Live Tokyo. Highland Park's signature style is deeply influenced by the island's unique heather-rich peat, which burns cooler than Islay peat, imparting a delicate, floral, and aromatic smoke. Combined with the maritime climate and traditional floor maltings, this single malt delivers a complex profile of heather honey, coastal brine, and soft, sweet smoke that reflects the rugged beauty and Norse heritage of Orkney.

Highland Park klamrer sig til det forblæste Orkney ud for Skotlands nordlige kyst. Destilleriet blev grundlagt i 1798 af den illegale destillatør Magnus Eunson, inden det opnåede officiel licens i 1826.
