Hailing from the wind-swept Orkney Islands, Highland Park is one of Scotland's most northerly and legendary distilleries, deeply rooted in Viking history and folklore. This 'Full Cask' No 9 Single Malt, matured in a traditional hogshead cask, showcases the unique maritime terroir of Orkney. Unlike the medicinal peat of Islay, Highland Park utilizes ancient peat from Hobbister Moor, packed with decomposed heather. This imparts a signature sweet, aromatic, and gentle smoky character. The hogshead maturation allows for a balanced wood interaction, yielding notes of wild honey, rich dried fruits, warm spices, and a delicate coastal salinity.

Highland Park blev grundlagt i 1798 i Kirkwall på det afsidesliggende Orkney-øhav og er et af Skotlands mest traditionsrige og nordligst beliggende single malt-destillerier. Destilleriet, som i dag er ejet af Edrington Group, værner kompromisløst om det klassiske whiskyhåndværk; her praktiserer man fortsat traditionel gulvmaltning med håndkraft og høster tæt, lyngmættet tørv fra den nærliggende Hobbister Moor.
