Highland Park, established in 1798 on the windswept Orkney Islands of Scotland, is steeped in Viking history and legendary distilling lore. Founded by Magnus Eunson, a direct descendant of Viking pioneers who operated as a butcher by day and a smuggler-distiller by night, the distillery remains one of the northernmost in the world. The Orcadian Vintage Series represents the pinnacle of Highland Park's craftsmanship, featuring exceptionally rare, single-vintage malts matured in hand-selected sherry oak casks. Orkney's unique terroir defines the spirit: the island's treeless, windswept peat bogs are packed with decomposed heather, which burns to impart a distinctive, sweet, floral smokiness rather than the medicinal, iodine notes found in Islay malts. Combined with a cool, temperate maritime climate that ensures a slow, even maturation, this single malt delivers an extraordinarily complex profile of rich dried fruits, warm spices, and delicate heathery peat smoke.

Highland Park blev grundlagt i 1798 i Kirkwall på det afsidesliggende Orkney-øhav og er et af Skotlands mest traditionsrige og nordligst beliggende single malt-destillerier.
