Perched on the windswept Orkney Islands, Highland Park is one of Scotland's most remote and historic distilleries, founded in 1798 by the legendary smuggler-turned-preacher Magnus Eunson. The Orkney Single Malt Scotch 18 Year Old, often celebrated as 'Viking Pride,' is a masterclass in balance, reflecting the rugged, Norse-influenced heritage of its homeland. This exceptional single malt owes its distinctive character to the distillery's traditional floor-malted barley and the unique Orcadian peat, which is rich in heather and imparts a sweet, floral, and aromatic smokiness rather than the medicinal brine of Islay. Matured predominantly in hand-selected sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, the spirit develops a deep golden hue and a complex tapestry of flavors, including rich dried fruits, warm winter spices, dark chocolate, and heather honey, all enveloped in a gentle, lingering whisper of peat smoke.
