✨ wine.spec_sheet

Highland Park, established in 1798 on the windswept Orkney Islands, is one of Scotland's most remote and historic distilleries. The 'Triskelion' is a unique single malt born from the collaboration of three legendary Highland Park Whisky Makers: Gordon Motion, Max McFarlane, and John Ramsay. Inspired by the ancient Norse symbol of three conjoined spirals representing mind, body, and spirit, this expression brings together three distinct cask types: first-fill sherry-seasoned Spanish oak casks, first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks, and ex-bourbon casks. The Orkney terroir plays a vital role, utilizing local, woodless peat rich in heather that imparts a sweet, aromatic peat smoke. This slow-matured malt offers a complex tapestry of rich fruit, warm spices, and sweet smoke, deeply rooted in Viking heritage and island folklore.

Established in 1798 by Magnus Eunson in Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands, Highland Park is one of the northernmost Scotch whisky distilleries in the world. Today owned by the Edrington Group, the distillery maintains an uncompromising commitment to heritage, utilizing traditional hand-turned floor maltings and aromatic, heather-rich peat sourced from nearby Hobbister Moor. Highland Park is globally renowned for aging its single malts in bespoke sherry-seasoned oak casks, yielding a signature flavor profile characterized by a harmonious balance of gentle peat smoke and rich, honeyed sweetness. This meticulous craftsmanship is showcased in highly acclaimed expressions ranging from their flagship 12 and 18-year-olds to rare, collectible releases aged up to 50 years.
