✨ Technical Specifications

Hine Rare VSOP is the quintessential expression of the house's elegant, floral style. Classified as a Fine Champagne Cognac, it is a masterfully curated blend of around twenty different eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from the Grande and Petite Champagne districts, with at least 50% coming from Grande Champagne. These premier crus are defined by their porous, chalk-rich soils, which impart a signature mineral precision and longevity to the grapes. The history of the house is steeped in romance and resilience; Thomas Hine, a young Englishman from Dorset, arrived in France during the French Revolution, was briefly imprisoned as a spy, but eventually married Françoise-Elisabeth, whose family owned a cognac house in Jarnac. Under his leadership, the house gained fame for its uncompromising standards. Aged in fine-grained French oak casks, this VSOP showcases delicate aromas of yellow fruits, fresh jasmine, and subtle vanilla, reflecting the patience symbolized by the house's iconic stag logo.

🍾 About the Producer

Established in 1763 and later named in 1817 by Englishman Thomas Hine, Maison Hine is an esteemed Cognac house situated along the banks of the Charente River in Jarnac, France. Holding a distinguished Royal Warrant from Queen Elizabeth II since 1962, the house is celebrated for its artisanal philosophy and dedicated focus on the premier terroirs of Grande and Petite Champagne. Hine is uniquely renowned for its mastery of single-vintage cognacs, including both classic Jarnac-aged releases and rare Early Landed casks matured in the damp, cool cellars of the United Kingdom. Emphasizing elegance, delicate floral aromatics, and minimal oak influence, the maison produces legendary expressions such as Antique XO Premier Cru, Triomphe, and single-harvest Bonneuil vintages.
