The Cuv e Lebelin is a premier example of this appellation's charm, crafted from select Premier Cru parcels bequeathed to the Hospices de Beaune by the historic Lebelin family, who were prominent benefactors of the charity. The wine is primarily sourced from the esteemed 'Les Duresses' climat, where steep, south-facing clay-limestone soils yield Pinot Noir of remarkable purity and structure. Under the stewardship of the Hospices, this cuv e is vinified to showcase a classic Burgundian tension, marrying bright red berry fruit with earthy undertones, fine-grained tannins, and a graceful, mineral-driven finish.

Founded in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin, Chancellor to the Duke of Burgundy, and his wife Guigone de Salins, the Hospices de Beaune was established as a charitable hospital supported by donations of prime vineyard parcels. Today, the historic estate encompasses over 60 hectares of exceptionally situated Premier and Grand Cru vineyards across Burgundy's Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Revered worldwide for its historic charity wine auction held every November since 1859, the domaine employs meticulous, organic viticultural techniques to highlight the uncompromised terroir of each plot. Its celebrated portfolio consists of distinguished Pinot Noir and Chardonnay cuvées, each named in honor of prominent historical benefactors such as Cuvée Nicolas Rolin and Cuvée Charlotte Dumay.
