While the historic Hospices de Beaune estate features the 'Cuvée Paul Chanson' as a highly regarded white Premier Cru from Chassagne-Montrachet, the estate's Red Grand Cru portfolio represents some of the most legendary expressions of Pinot Noir in Burgundy. Sourced from prized parcels in climats like Corton, Clos de la Roche, and Mazis-Chambertin, these charity-auctioned masterpieces are crafted under the meticulous supervision of régisseur Ludivine Griveau. The winemaking honors centuries of tradition, emphasizing hand-harvesting, native fermentations, and a precise expression of terroir. Once sold at the famous November auction, these young wines are entrusted to elite Burgundian négociants-éleveurs for custom barrel aging. The resulting Red Grand Crus are celebrated for their deep complexity, structural power, and profound ability to translate the unique limestone-rich soils of the Côte d'Or into liquid poetry.

Founded in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin, Chancellor to the Duke of Burgundy, and his wife Guigone de Salins, the Hospices de Beaune was established as a charitable hospital supported by donations of prime vineyard parcels. Today, the historic estate encompasses over 60 hectares of exceptionally situated Premier and Grand Cru vineyards across Burgundy's Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Revered worldwide for its historic charity wine auction held every November since 1859, the domaine employs meticulous, organic viticultural techniques to highlight the uncompromised terroir of each plot.
