The 'Jubilee' cuv e was originally created to celebrate the tricentenary of Famille Hugel in 1939, representing the absolute pinnacle of their estate-grown wines. Sourced almost exclusively from the historic, clay-marl soils of the Sporen Grand Cru in Riquewihr, this wine showcases the true potential of Alsatian Gewurztraminer. The heavy, mineral-rich soils of the Sporen vineyard impart a profound depth, structure, and intense spicy character to the grape. Vinified in historic, century-old oak casks in the family's deep cellars, this wine is crafted with minimal intervention, resulting in a dry to off-dry masterpiece of immense power, complexity, and aromatic richness, defined by notes of exotic fruits, rose petals, and white pepper. Established in 1639 in the picturesque medieval village of Riquewihr, Famille Hugel is one of the most venerable and celebrated wine producers in Alsace, France. Managed continuously by more than a dozen generations of the Hugel family, the estate combines historic family vineyards with carefully sourced fruit to champion the diverse terroirs of the region. Hugel was instrumental in establishing the official regulations for Alsace's revered late-harvest categories, Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles.
