This special release pays tribute to Jimmy Bedford, the sixth Master Distiller who oversaw the cave-spring-fed operations in Lynchburg from 1988 to 2008. Crafted from a time-honored mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley, the spirit owes its signature character to the Lincoln County Process, where it is slowly mellowed drop by drop through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal. It is then matured in handcrafted charred oak barrels, resulting in a rich profile of toasted oak, caramel, and light spice that honors the legacy of its maker.
