Named in honor of the historic Chapter of Notre-Dame in Beaune, whose 12th-century cellars still house the barrels of Maison Jaffelin, 'Les Chapitres' Pinot Noir is a tribute to the monastic roots of Burgundian winemaking. Founded in 1816 by brothers Charles and Henri Jaffelin, Maison Jaffelin is celebrated as the smallest among Burgundy's historic négociant houses, located in the ancient center of Beaune. The estate ages its wines in remarkable 12th-century vaulted cellars originally built by the Canons of the Collégiale Notre-Dame. Operating on an artisanal, small-batch scale, the house employs gentle, gravity-fed vinification to preserve the pure expression and distinctive character of each climats across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Jaffelin is renowned for its elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay selections, ranging from the emblematic Cuvée des Chanoines to distinguished Premier and Grand Cru bottlings, alongside fine Crémant de Bourgogne.
