Sourced from one of Washington State's most revered sites, the JM Cellars Boushey Vineyard Syrah is a testament to the legendary viticultural work of Dick Boushey in the Yakima Valley. Boushey Vineyard is widely celebrated as a benchmark site for Washington Syrah, favored for its mid-slope elevation and cooler microclimate which allows the grapes to ripen slowly while retaining remarkable natural acidity. This slow ripening imparts a distinctive Old World sensibility to the wine, characterized by its signature aromatic profile of cracked black pepper, savory smoked meats, and dark bramble fruit. JM Cellars masterfully coaxes these terroir-driven nuances out through careful fermentation and aging in French oak, creating a structured, complex, and deeply expressive red wine that captures the wild, rugged elegance of the Pacific Northwest.
