The wine is traditionally aged in French oak barrels, imparting subtle spice and structural complexity. Historically, Washington's wine country owes its dramatic landscape to the prehistoric Missoula Floods, which left behind deep, well-draining gravel and sandy-loam soils. This rugged geological heritage forces the vines to struggle, resulting in small, flavor-packed berries that give this Cabernet its signature deep color, robust black fruit profile, and elegant, earthy undertones.
