Sourced from the prestigious Stillwater Creek Vineyard, situated on the steep, south-facing slopes of the Frenchman Hills in Washington's Royal Slope AVA, this Viognier is a beautiful expression of one of the state's most celebrated white wine sites. Planted on fractured basalt and fine sandy loam soils, the vineyard benefits from cooler temperatures relative to the rest of the Columbia Valley, allowing the Viognier grapes to ripen slowly and retain their crucial natural acidity. JM Cellars meticulously crafts this wine to highlight the grape's classic, seductive aromatics. By utilizing a combination of stainless steel and neutral French oak for fermentation and aging, they preserve the delicate, exotic perfume of white peach, honeysuckle, and citrus blossom, while imparting a rich, textured mouthfeel that defines the winery's elegant, balanced style.
