JM Cellars' Viognier is a beautiful expression of Washington State's ability to cultivate classic Rhône varieties. Sourced primarily from acclaimed, sustainably-farmed sites like Stillwater Creek Vineyard in the Columbia Valley, this wine benefits from the region's distinct diurnal temperature shifts, which preserve the grape's natural acidity while allowing full aromatic development. Historically, Viognier was nearly extinct in its native Northern Rhône home of Condrieu before experiencing a global renaissance. JM Cellars honors this heritage by crafting a highly aromatic, textured white wine. The winemaking process typically utilizes a combination of stainless steel fermentation to retain bright floral and stone fruit notes, alongside aging in neutral French oak to build a rich, round mouthfeel without overshadowing the delicate fruit.
