The heritage of Johnnie Walker dates back to 1820 when a young grocer named John Walker began blending whiskies in Kilmarnock, seeking consistency and quality in an era of unpredictable single malts. The Blue Label blend pays homage to those early 19th-century styles, combining rare single malts and grain whiskies—some from long-closed 'ghost' distilleries—to deliver a famously velvety texture.
