Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare Glenury Royal is a masterfully crafted blended Scotch whisky that pays homage to the 'ghost' distilleries of Scotland—legendary sites that have long since closed their doors. At the heart of this rare blend is the highly coveted single malt from Glenury Royal, a Highland distillery founded in 1825 by the colorful Captain Robert Barclay, who famously walked 1,000 miles in 1,000 hours. Glenury Royal was one of only three Scottish distilleries to ever receive a Royal warrant. This exceptional release marries the rich, orchard-fruit character of Glenury Royal with other rare whiskies from shuttered distilleries like Cambus and Pittyvaich, alongside highly unusual malts from active distilleries. The result is a magnificent spirit boasting layers of sweet apple, delicate apricot, creamy toffee, and a gentle, warming finish.
