Maison Joseph Drouhin's Premier Cru white Burgundy represents the pinnacle of elegant, terroir-driven Chardonnay from the heart of the Côte de Beaune. The Drouhin family's history is deeply intertwined with these prestigious slopes, most famously represented by their pioneering acquisitions in the Clos des Mouches—a vineyard named after the honeybees ('mouches à miel') that once bathed in its warm, sunny microclimate. Crafted with a deep respect for natural rhythms, Drouhin's Premier Cru whites are farmed biodynamically. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented in French oak barrels, utilizing indigenous yeasts to preserve the authentic voice of the soil. The resulting wine is a masterclass in balance, marrying vibrant citrus and white flower aromas with a rich, textured palate of ripe pear, toasted hazelnut, and a signature mineral precision.
