Laforet Chardonnay is a vibrant homage to the classic Burgundy terroir, first introduced by Robert Drouhin in the 1970s to capture the pure, accessible essence of the region's white wines. Named after the verdant forests that border many Burgundy vineyards, this cuvee is sourced from carefully selected parcels across the region, blending the crisp freshness of northern Burgundy with the roundness of the south. Vinified primarily in stainless steel to preserve its bright citrus, white flower, and green apple aromas, a small portion of the blend is aged in neutral French oak barrels to impart a subtle complexity and a smooth, elegant texture. It stands as a timeless introduction to the house's style, embodying the Drouhin family's commitment to purity, elegance, and balance.

Maison Joseph Drouhin blev grundlagt i 1880 af Joseph Drouhin og er et ikonisk bourgognehus med historisk hovedsæde i hjertet af Beaune. Vinhuset har været i Drouhin-familiens eje gennem fire generationer, og i dag råder domænet over exceptionelle parceller i topappellationer på tværs af Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Chablis samt Willamette Valley i Oregon. Dyrkningen er baseret på certificeret økologisk og biodynamisk vinbrug, og filosofien i kælderen er centreret om naturlig balance, renhed og det uforfalskede udtryk for det enkelte terroir. Huset nyder verdensomspændende anerkendelse for sine stilskabende Pinot Noir- og Chardonnay-aftapninger, herunder de legendariske Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Mouches og Montrachet Grand Cru Marquis de Laguiche.
