Named 'Lafor t' (The Forest) as a tribute to the lush, wooded landscapes of Burgundy, this cuv e was first created in the 1970s by Robert Drouhin to offer a vibrant, accessible introduction to the region's legendary Pinot Noir. Sourced from carefully selected parcels across the C te de Nuits, C te de Beaune, and C te Chalonnaise, it captures the diverse terroir of Burgundy in a single bottle. The winemaking philosophy emphasizes freshness and purity of fruit; the grapes are gently pressed and fermented, with a portion aged in stainless steel to retain bright red berry aromas, while the remainder rests in neutral French oak barrels to add subtle structure and spice. It is a classic representation of everyday Burgundian elegance, beloved for its bright acidity and soft, approachable tannins.
